Dry cutting

For fired tiles

Dry cutting for fired tiles by Maincer completely eliminates the need for water to cool diamond tools, achieving higher productivity than wet cutting and a comparable finish. This innovative technology includes three key stages: marking, breaking, and grinding/beveling, and is fully customizable to suit different formats and the specific production needs of each customer. With this line, Maincer optimizes the production of fired ceramics, ensuring high efficiency and quality finishes.

Technical features

Click on the red points to discover all the functionalities of the Dry cutting for fired tiles.

Work sequence:

  1. The operator places a pallet in the automatic feeder, which positions the pieces on the roller conveyor and then transfers them to a belt conveyor.
  2. The belt conveyor transports the pieces to the marking module, where rollers make an incision in the glaze to facilitate the fracture.
  3. In the breaking module, a pneumatic wheel applies pressure on the marking, breaking the piece.
  4. The separated pieces are directed to opposing grinding motor groups: one piece moves upwards, and the other downwards.
  5. The ground pieces reach the stackers, where they are piled and prepared for final packaging.
