Brick Cutting Line in the United Kingdom
This project was completed in March 2026 with the installation of an automated brick cutting line in the United Kingdom.
In March 2026, an automated brick cutting line was installed for the production of brick slips, transverse cuts, and corner pieces.
The main goal of the project was to automate the brick cutting process, improve productivity, and increase cutting precision by replacing a manual system with limited production capacity.
Challenge

The previous system relied on manual cutting machines that required constant operator intervention, making the process slow and inefficient.

Solution
Automated line for brick cutting and brick slip production
The solution is based on the MCN Brick Edition cutting machine, integrated into an automated line with four conveyors arranged in a “U” configuration.
The solution allows:
- Longitudinal brick cutting
- Transverse brick cutting
- Brick slip production
- Corner brick cutting
Process
Automated brick cutting process
The operator places the bricks onto the conveyor belt, and the system automatically feeds them into the cutting machine.
Depending on the production type, the machine activates the required motors and discs to perform straight cuts or corner cuts with high precision.
After cutting:
- Finished pieces continue along the conveyor line
- Waste material is automatically discharged
- The operator collects only the finished products
This system improves workflow efficiency and optimizes the overall production process.
